Point Hope Connect ("we", "us") is a community app operated for residents of the Point Hope community in Charleston, South Carolina. It is a private community space for residents of Point Hope. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, or impersonation. This applies everywhere in the app — the feed, the forum and its hobby groups, marketplace listings, vendor reviews, lost & found pet reports, and direct messages with another resident. Posts, comments, listings, reviews, pet reports, and messages must be your own genuine content.
Direct messages may never be used to harass, spam, or solicit another resident. Realtor or other commercial messages about buying, selling, or renting property, or about a business, belong in the Real Estate and Neighbor-owned Businesses boards, not in a resident's direct messages.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. This includes harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, violent content, spam or scams, and impersonation, wherever it appears in the app — posts, comments, forum threads, marketplace listings, vendor reviews, lost & found pet reports, and direct messages.

The POA community team may remove content that violates these terms, and may suspend or delete an account for repeated or serious violations.
Vendor listings and reviews are provided by the community and by vendors themselves. A vendor's presence in the directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by Point Hope Connect. Reviews reflect individual residents' opinions, not the POA's.
"Ask the POA" answers are generated by an AI model and are provided for general convenience only. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and are not legal, financial, or safety advice. For anything that matters, confirm with the POA office directly.
Alerts shown in the app (including automatic weather alerts) are informational only and may be delayed or unavailable. They are never a substitute for local emergency services — in an emergency, call 911.
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Point Hope Connect is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
